Basketball
Description
The hours set aside for basketball are for open recreational play. There are no organized teams or leagues — just good fun, exercise and recreation. Bring your own basketball and bottled water. No “dunking,” please, as it can damage not only the rim and backboard, but also potentially cause injury to a player.
One hoop for adult men and women basketball players will be placed at the regulation height of 10 feet. A second hoop for grandchildren and youngsters will be placed at height of 8 feet.
Note: Only Stonecrest maintenance staff members are allowed to move or adjust the rim height or tension bar.
MEETING DAY/TIME
Hoops are up and courts available for play weekly between noon on Fridays and noon on Mondays.
Exceptions to these hours are when the Stonecrest Tennis Club chooses to hold a tennis tournament on the first Saturday morning of the month. In addition, there will be no adult basketball play for 10 days in July when Kids Camp is in session.
